On receiving the information, the Naya Gaon Police Post in-charge Jaideep Sharma, raiding along with his staff, took possession of 300 green poppy plants from the field of Nazim Singh alias Bhura Singh. The Police Post in-charge said that these plants had started getting dody. Which would later take the form of balls and after that Nazim Singh alias Bhura Singh had to start the production of opium by cutting these balls with a knife. It is worth mentioning that under the command of SSP Patiala Shri Sandeep Garg, awareness campaign against drug abuse is also being conducted by sending police parties to the village.
